Some people have been asking me in the past few days how my diet is going. Ironically, no one has said, "Hey, you look like you've lost a few pounds."
The diet overall is going fairly well. I just finished the 3-week mark yesterday and am still on track. My work day meals are typically made up of a packet of oatmeal for breakfast and a quick bowl of cereal for lunch.
Work is going fairly well, knock on wood, at the moment which also helps.
The challenge I've yet to master is how to fit in exercise. I still think this most likely will happen in the beginning stages by incorporating T'ai Chi into my morning routine. Then, when it is less bitterly cold outside and definitely when it is less icy, I will walk more outside. My dogs will love that. Alternately, I will purchase another membership to the EMU Rec Center and again try to master timing and parking there.
I have a good friend who told me she has run 4 miles twice in the last week. This is impressive. If I really get it together I will try to pull out my old cross country self and get running, too. I can see it in my mind's eye, just not in my actual eyes.
